Dear Teenager

Do you know that God has placed people above and around you, to teach you things that are necessary for your destiny actualization?

God wants you to be properly built and trained in order to represent Him maximally; that’s why He placed you in the midst of people. However, your response to these people God has blessed you with will determine if the training/learning process will be effective (work for your life) or truncated (wouldn’t work).

Do you know that your parents, guardians, brothers and sisters that constantly correct you are not sent by the devil? I’m aware their humanity may interfere with the way they pass on the message, but I will plead with you to ignore their manner of approach and learn the lessons, because you will sure need them for survival in the future. They may shout, beat or even threaten you; your duty is to pay attention to the message without interpreting their efforts as hatred or attack.

Have you ever taken time to consider people’s complain about you? Why is everyone complaining the same thing, about that aspect of your life? It’s important to pay attention. Sincerely ask the Holy Spirit to help you in every area of weakness.

You may not understand why your parents keep shouting at you every time; probably, the way they were raised might have influenced them.

On the other hand, the situation they find themselves can also be the problem. They are not bad people as you think, but are truly concerned about your well being. I’m not justifying their approach, but I’m only encouraging you to learn what you ought to learn now.

Truly, celebrate the people around you, love and respect them regardless of their weaknesses. You are sure accountable to God and people God has placed over you, you shouldn’t make up excuses to disobey or dishonour them, you are inexcusable before God.

Lastly, examine the Bible passage below: But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your rememberance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:26)

The Holy Spirit will use men to teach you the major lessons you need for life. Determine not to let the approach rob you off the opportunity to learn. Jesus loves you!
